Case study

Leather Ghor, a Bangla leather shop

A Bangla catalog for genuine leather footwear, with delivery rules written on the page.

Project: Leather Ghor

Overview

Leather Ghor sells footwear made from cowhide. The website has to carry the material story in Bangla and still behave like a shop.

Problem statement

A product grid in English would miss the customers the brand is speaking to. A story page with no prices would miss the sale.

Requirements and constraints

Bangla interface. Product codes, names, and taka prices. A delivery policy: cash on delivery, Dhaka in 24 hours, outside Dhaka in 48 hours, payment after inspection. Address and phone on the page.

Proposed architecture

Hero, best sellers, a short material essay, delivery promises, reviews on the shop, then contact. Product cards are the same component across sections.

Database design

Each shoe is a product with code, price, previous price, and merchandising flags such as new or offer. Copy for delivery is content, so operations can change the promise without a deploy of the layout.

API design and authentication

Shoppers move through pages. The order path on the public site is the catalog plus the published phone and address.

Security

Customer reviews displayed on the shop are not imported into this portfolio. They belong to the store.

Performance

Product images dominate the page. Cards should use consistent crops so a long grid stays readable.

Testing and deployment

Live check of leatherghor.com: Bangla headline, priced products, and the delivery statements.

Challenges and lessons

Bangla typography and a dense product grid have to stay comfortable on a phone.

Verified results

leatherghor.com is live in Bangla with genuine-leather products, prices, and a written delivery policy.
