Case study

WebNujhat AI tools directory

Discover, compare, and review AI software with categories, lists, and editorial pages.

Project: WebNujhat

Overview

WebNujhat is an independent directory: featured tools, category browse, reviews, comparisons, blog, and newsletter — built as a maintainable Laravel product.

Problem statement

Readers needed one place to compare AI writing, image, video, and coding tools without chasing outdated listicles.

Requirements and constraints

Tool detail pages with logo, rating, pricing label, and outbound try link. Category and list pages. Comparison articles. Affiliate disclosure in footer. Public project listings paginated 10 per page; admin lists 25 per page for efficient editing.

Proposed architecture

Relational tools, categories, reviews, and posts. Media library stores logos and screenshots under public disk paths referenced from tool records.

Database design

Tools belong to categories; reviews and comparisons reference tools by foreign key; slugs for SEO URLs.

API design and authentication

Server-rendered HTML first. RSS or JSON feeds can extend the same models later.

Security

Newsletter stores name and email with privacy policy link. Admin uploads validated by type and size.

Performance

Pagination on directory and admin index views keeps large tool catalogs responsive.

Testing and deployment

Smoke test featured tools, category counts, and comparison pages on production.

Challenges and lessons

Tool logos vary in aspect ratio; cards use consistent crops. Editorial copy resists fake rating inflation.

Verified results

webnujhat.com publishes live directory content with featured tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and Midjourney as shown on the public homepage.
